RUSTOFF 250 is designed for effective corrosion protection of ferrous metal components during storage and transportation. The product forms a greasy, transparent, non-drying, non-mobile and self-healing film on the metal surface.
The protective film typically ranges from 0.004 to 0.010 mm, depending on drainage, application method and application temperature. It provides coverage of approximately 35–60 sq. m./litre and delivers a neutral salt spray performance of over 75 hours according to ISO 9227.
RUSTOFF 250 can be applied by dipping, flooding, spraying or brushing. It is suitable for sheet metal, water-washed automobile parts, machined and ground components, and finished metal components. It can also be used on decorative micro-cracked Nickel-Chromium electro-coatings to enhance corrosion protection.
